Passionate and committed to our work, and one of our greatest advocates, Her Majesty The Queen's became President of Maggie's in November 2008. Her Majesty has visited 18 out of Maggie’s 27 centres, some more than once.

The film, made by Buckingham Palace in conjunction with Maggie’s, features people living with cancer who have been supported by Maggie’s.
It also captures Her Majesty’s visit to our centre in Cheltenham earlier this year where she gave a speech to mark 30 years of our transformational care and reveals for the first time how she felt when she officially opened our Royal Free centre just days before news of The King’s own diagnosis was made public in 2024.
