A few words from our Honorary Patron听Janet Ellis听about听living听with cancer at this difficult time.
听
Those of us living听with, or听affected by, a diagnosis of cancer already听know听a little about a different future.听I鈥檝e been getting used to making plans with plenty of 鈥榟ope so鈥檚鈥櫶� and听鈥榝ingers crossed鈥� for a while now听after my听husband鈥檚听diagnosis.
I have really appreciated听how important听it is to have someone to talk to. I know that having access to proper information is听vital.听I鈥檝e really tried to embrace living in the moment, finding joy where I can and sharing it, too.听And throughout, Maggie鈥檚 has been both teacher and companion.
But the world is strange now. Sometimes听it听feels听harder to hold on to all that I鈥檝e learnt. But in these unpredictable听times,听one听thing is certain 鈥� Maggie鈥檚 is still here.听Still listening, still supporting still guiding.
I鈥檓 grateful to everyone for keeping things going and sending a virtual hug to the whole Maggie鈥檚 community.
